Terms & Conditions

Term and conditions of room hire/party functions.

On booking the function room a deposit of £100.00 in cash is required to ensure the date you require,You have 48 hours to change your mind to receive a full refund,  if you cancel at anytime after 48 hours  you will loose 50% of your deposit; if you cancel within 28 days of the date of your function you will loose 100% of the deposit.

The deposit will be returned to you within 48 hours after the function as long as you meet all the T&C  regarding – drugs – damages – violence – Min Bar etc see below,

We require a minimum of 40 adult guests to attend your function in the Excelsior suite, as we need to achieve a minimum of a £400.00 bar take to cover our cost.

We supply  DJ/entertainers prices from £120.00

We supply food hot and cold available see menus starting from £4 per head

 you can supply your own food but there could be a hire charge for the room of £50 but if the bar take is above £500 you will be refunded the £50, If you purchase food from the Excelsior  then the function room is free of hire cost.

Other monies: Payments

Buffet/Food cost min 10 days before

payments for DJ  will be made direct to the DJ on the night
Entertainers, on the night
Decoration cost,  min 10 days before
Room hire, 7 days before 
Security, 7 days before 

If you wish to use your own DJ/entertainers they must have public liability insurance and all equipment must be pat tested. This information must be documented and given to the Excelsior prior to the event. They also need to arrange to meet with our event organizer prior to the event to go through the house health and safety policy. You will also need to sign a disclaimer

All children must be supervised by an adult while on the premises and a disclaimer signed.

Please note at time of paying for final cost a further deposit may be required depending on the event for example a 18th/ 21st Birthday, this can be between £50 and £100 

We have an over 25 policy in place. Anyone not looking 25 will need to supply photo ID. No one under the age of 18 will be served or allowed to consume alcohol on the premises.

Basic T&C

Damages- include to tables ,chairs, sofas, seating, mirrors, any damage in toilets, doors, carpets, this is not exhaustible any items that will need repairing or replacing or specialist cleaning.

Violence- includes any persons being abusive towards members of the team or entertainers, any violent acts, fighting of aggressive behavior which means the security services, police or any members of the excelsior team are involved in anyway.

The illegal use or handling of drugs will not be permitted on the premises.

Your Deposit will not be returned if any of the conditions are broken.

A minimum bar of £400 if there is a shortfall this will be taken from the deposit 

we do not allow the consumption of your own drinks on the premises.

The Excelsior does not do 18th birthday party’s which consist of that age group only.  we do however consider these if the party is a family based and booked by parents – guardians. A higher bond is required and door security.

Please note due to the recent pandemic we must cover the cost of the running of the function room eg – admin of the phone and email in relation to all bookings enquirers, viewings of the room and on going advise and arrangements for food, entertainment etc all this has to be done prior to any event,  with this in mind if your event was cancelled due to a pandemic or natural disaster we would offer you a alternative date or a refund of £50.00.
